ANNA'S BLESSED ACRES

Keeping Memories

Back in 2010, I thought goats were amazing. During a class trip to the local county fair, I just had it in my head that my first goats were there so the second the door opened I leaped past Ms. Howard, out of the bus, and took off on my own to find my goat. My teacher still laughs about that determination I had on my face. I found two little Nigerians, Rose and Shadow. They weren't the best goats in the world but little did we know where the journey ahead would lead. We went to multiple shows winning Best of Show and too many Grand Champions to count with our Nigerians under the farm name NFR.  Our last show was ADGA Nationals in 2016 where I won the National Judging Competition out of 250 youth!  My sisters and I lost interest in goats and sadly my Mom sold most of the herd that she worked so hard to build. I kept my favorite girl: a La Mancha named Jinx. Mary kept her favorite Nigerian: NFR Twitter's Purple Sparkle.  Life has come full circle and I am carefully building the herd I love..........
